Before & After

Rawlings Gamer GXLE312-2NW

Rawlings Gamer GXLE312-2NW infielder’s glove
This glove came in for the Great Bambino services. The gamer is comparable to the newer R9 models that the Rawlings glove company has out. Very good intermediate glove, easy to break in, and good leather quality. With regular care (cleaning and conditioning), these gloves can last a long time. Something to note, the palm and outer finger laces are traditionally laced with the hide side (smooth side) facing inward or where the ball would make contact. The grain side (rough side) is facing out. The hide side is thought to be stronger than the grain side and can handle more abuse. I laced this one backward to give the glove a little more control, which can be debated, but does not affect it negatively in any sense.

Before and After

Every glove has a story. Some arrive cracked, faded, and forgotten at the bottom of a gear bag. Others are worn down from years of hard work on the field. Each one gets a second chance here. Our gallery showcases the transformation — from broken-in and beaten down to fully restored, conditioned, and game-ready. These before-and-after photos highlight the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and passion that go into every glove we touch. Whether it’s a childhood favorite, a family heirloom, or your go-to gamer, we treat each glove with the same care and dedication, giving it new life while preserving its character.

Take a look at the transformations below — proof that no glove is too far gone to make a comeback.
